Scale AI is looking to hire a highly motivated and enthusiastic Revenue Accountant to join its Accounting team. This crucial role will play an integral part in day-to-day revenue accounting in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, deal review, and maintaining revenue accounts in accordance with US GAAP. Our ideal candidate has the highest moral standards and are experienced in handling highly confidential information. You must have strong analytical skills and an eagerness to learn, as well as be a collaborative team player who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
You will:
- Assist in monthly revenue accounting close including journal entry preparation and key account reconciliations
- Collaborate within Accounting and Finance on revenue metrics, flux analysis, forecast, and projections
- Hands-on deal consulting working regularly with our Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams providing revenue and policy guidance as contracts are being negotiated
- Perform deal review on complex revenue arrangements to ensure accurate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC606
- Identify and implement process improvements. We strive to maintain pace with our growth and keep an eye on scalability in everything we do
- Perform ad-hoc projects including user acceptance testing for system enhancements and commission accounting
- Preparation of revenue related schedules for external auditors
Ideally you’d have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
- 2+ years of accounting experience; public accounting a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and highly analytical
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines
- Excellent problem solving skills and high level of attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Nice to haves:
- Experience with NetSuite or other major ERP, SaleForce, FloQast
- Passion for the AI/ML Industry
