Operations Strategy Manager - Operations Excellence

Scale accelerates our customers’ development of AI applications by co-creating and managing tailor-fit data annotation pipelines. The Operations Excellence team solves some of our most critical operational challenges to enable cost-efficient growth. You’ll be designing, building, and implementing new tools, solutions and processes to drive cross-functional productivity, alignment, and process optimization.

You’ll be the first hire on a small-team of exceptional problem-solvers, and will collaborate closely with multiple teams throughout the business (e.g., Operations, Analytics, Go To Market, Finance, and Engineering). In this role, you will develop a deep strategic understanding of the Scale business while driving detailed operational execution.

The ideal candidate is scrappy, inquisitive, analytical, outcome focused, and above all a leader who gets and inspires results. 

You will

  • Build & Iterate: Design new processes and tools and drive their implementation across the organization within the US and globally.
  • Plan & Strategize: Problem solve some of our most pressing strategic operations challenges.
  • Work Cross-Functionally: Partner with Operations and Product teams to drive step-function changes in how we can scale and increase efficiency of operations.
  • Drive End to End Results: from ideation and strategy to in-the-weeds delivery of results. 

Ideally you'd have

  • 3+ years of industry experience in an operational role and/or 2+ years in a top tier consulting firm
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree from a top university in an analytics heavy major (e.g., Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business)
  • Experience leading and influencing without authority
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that balances creative problem solving with the desire to run through walls to deliver outcomes
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Experience planning and implementing new business processes
