Growth Engineering Lead

Our Growth Engineering team is responsible for increasing tasker acquisition, activation, and retention. The goal of this team is to ensure more and more users are connected to Scale’s Tasker Portal’s product value, through areas such as onboarding, monetization, performance marketing, and internationalization. You'll recruit and manage engineers and drive the growth vision and strategy together with your operations, data science, product, and design colleagues, and help develop Scale’s growth organization as a whole.

What You'll Achieve:

  • You'll build and manage a diverse and inclusive team of engineers working on product features and tools to get Scale’s tasker platform into the hands of more users.
  • You'll help drive the strategy and vision for growth at Scale, working closely with ops, product management, and design.
  • You'll be responsible for maintaining a high quality bar for everything your team ships.
  • You'll build a culture of fast iteration, shipping and accelerating Scale’s success.

Who You Are:

  • You have a strong engineering background and 3+ years of full time working experience
  • You have a track record of high velocity shipping with a focus on experimentation and an ability to mix big bets with quick wins
  • You’re a zero-to-one builder who has a strong product intuition and excels at making data-driven investment decisions 
  • You have managed engineering teams at startups before, particularly during periods of rapid growth and organizational change.
  • You have experience rolling out engineering and management practices and processes—e.g., code review, performance reviews, and levels and ladders—where they didn't exist before.
  • You've managed engineering groups with teams spread across multiple locations.
  • You have a demonstrated interest in AI and contributing to its future
  • You have recruited, and are committed to building, diverse and inclusive teams; you value empathetic and direct communication and foster environments that are at once collaborative, empowering, supportive, and challenging
